Supermarkets vs Local Shops

Processed products impacts. Each supermarket has around 50,000 lines, each with its own unique background & impacts.

While trying to be non-political, the best way to describe this is that supermarkets are super-efficient at profit-making compared to local shops and markets, and environmental (and social and governance) impacts are consequently greater.

Packaging

Plastic packaging doesn't have a big influence on personal carbon footprints, collectively it is significant from an emissions point of view and horrendous from a plastic pollution point of view.

Many micro-actions we can take.

With energy prices set to increase and increase, this could be a double win
